Dr. Garmon is the owner/director of Psychologcal Center. He has over 30 years of experience in therapy with individuals and couples. Having spent over 15 years pastoring churches, he provides clinical services within a spiritual context. Currently he also works as a Psychological Consultant with the State of Georgia, teaches at FSU, and supervises interns and residents in training. In his free time, he like to travel with his wife Edie or ride his Triumph Bonneville America.
Dr. Graves has been a member of this practice since 2008. She serves as the Clinical Traning Director for the practice and as the Clinical Director of South Georgia Autism Center withn the practice. She is also a trained Clinical Child Psychologist and specializes in children ages 12 and under, with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. She has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of children with special needs, including autism spectrum disorders. When not at work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

The Psychological Center for Growth and Development was established in July 2002 by Dr. Joe Garmon. Since that time, the practice has grown to include several additional providers. We strive for excellence in our practice with our providers, as well as, with our staff.
Psychological Center is owned and operated right here in Thomasville, Georgia. Our dedication and genuine care set us apart from other faclities. All treatment plans are designed with each client in mind and we operate on a 'case by case' basis, insuring that we meet needs to the best of our ability.

Dr. DuBose has been a Licensed Psychologist since 1998 and has been practicing in Georgia since 2001. He works with the Psychological Center providing Social Security and Vocational evaluations. He maintains a private practice at Thomasville Family Medicine, where he provides Individual and couple’s therapy, as well as psychological evaluation and testing. He works with clients throughout the entire life span.
Dr. Solomon has been providing therapy for 13 years. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults in the context of family and individual psychotherapy. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family.
Dr. Philip J. DuBose, Jr.
Dr. Moore has 14 years of experience providing prevention and intervention services to children, adolescents, and families. For the past four years, she has provided individual and group therapy and psychological assessment (including neuropsychological testing) services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has specific experience with individuals who have experienced complex trauma and interpersonal traumatic events.
Dr. Vandewalle is Board Certified in Child and Adolescent psychiatry and works with all ages and diagnoses.
Dr. Shelby has over 15 years of experience providing therapeutic, intervention and prevention services. She has extensive experience working with individuals who have a trauma history, marital/relationship problems, family difficulties ,and parenting struggles. In addition, she has demonstrated effectiveness helping individuals who are involved with the criminal justice system and in promoting positive behavioral and emotional changes in difficult and resistant children and adolescents. She enjoys assisting women who are struggling with shifting life roles and changes during their life course. She offers services to a local shelter for abused women and children and is a Founding Member of the Oasis Center for Women and Girls in Tallahassee, FL. When she is not working she loves to spend time with her family, garden, craft and cook.
Mr. Garmon works with the psychiatry team, primarily serving children and adolescents. He is the lead singer for the band Reconcile and enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Sherri Plenge is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience working with elderly, adults and teens. She has worked with child welfare and foster care families, clients with intellectual and development disabilities and with families experiencing grief/loss and infertility. Her work history also includes medical social work, case management, and advocacy.
